How I Use Vagisil Screening Kit To My Benefit

I have once suffered from vaginal infection, confused the type, and resulted to an incorrect treatment of my infection.  You see, vaginal infection is a common problem among us women.  One point in our lives, no matter how careful and conscious we are of our vaginal health, the infection strikes.

It is not always easy to consult our medical practitioners when infection occurs.  Most times, just as in my case before, we choose to self-treat our infection.  The thing with vaginal infection is that its two (2) types are almost similar that we readily confused one from the other.

For instance, what happened to me was that I have mistaken my infection as yeast not knowing that it was actually bacterial vaginitis.  It is natural to guess that I have applied the inappropriate treatment that only worsened my infection.

Using The Screening Kit

To cut the story short, I have realized my mistake, remedied the situation, and freed myself from the infection.  Since then, I devoted some of my time to increase my awareness and understanding of vaginal infections-how to distinguish the types, and how the right treatment can produce long-term and even lifetime freedom from the infection.

Part of this process, I came across the screening kit of Vagisil and I naturally became interested in learning how to use and benefit from the kit.  I immediately bought the kit.

The Procedure

Opening it, I found two vaginal wands (each of them protected by their own wrapper for sanitation), the instructions on how to use the kit, and guide for vaginal pH. Holding the wand, I noticed that a pH paper wraps one end of the wand.

The instruction tells me that I should insert the end with the pH paper in my vagina and gently press the wand against my vaginal wall.  After pressing, I remove the wand and following the instruction further, place the wand’s end with the pH paper under daylight (bright light is an option).

Using the pH guide, I compared the colour of the pH paper.  I had to do the wand insertion repeatedly until the pH paper found its match on the guide.  From the match, I found out the type of yeast infection that I have and seek proper treatment correspondingly.

You see, the screening kit is to alert you of the vaginal infection you may be suffering from.  It is not to replace the diagnosis from your medical practitioner.  Just as I have benefitted from the kit, you, too, can stop and prevent vaginal infection when you use the kit for its intended purpose.
